A little help
getting focused.

Focus is a free app blocker from Tony and Puffy LLC for iPhone running iOS 17 or later.

Start a session

Open Focus and allow Screen Time access when prompted. Select the individual apps you want to block, choose a duration, and start your session. You do not need an account or internet connection.

Screen Time access was denied

Open Focus and use its permission button to open Settings. Enable Screen Time access for Focus, then return to the app. Blocking needs this authorization.

Take a break

During a session, choose a timed pause. Focus temporarily unblocks your apps and resumes blocking when the pause ends. Use Stop Pause to resume early, or end the session when you are done.

Apps are not being blocked

Check that Screen Time access is enabled, the desired apps are selected, and your session is running rather than paused. Test on your iPhone: Screen Time shields cannot be enforced in the iOS Simulator.

Where is the Dynamic Island timer?

Dynamic Island is available only on supported iPhones. Live Activities must be enabled for Focus in iOS Settings. A Live Activity can also appear on the Lock Screen. Focus does not need a network connection to update it.

Manage saved information

Saved app lists and schedules can be edited or deleted within Focus. Your settings and statistics are stored on your device. Read the privacy policy for details.

Is Focus really free?

Yes. Focus has no ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.
